Ann Lacey, Novice Woodworker, Cornwall

A Poem by Mike Bowron

‘The wood is Planed and square and right

I’m looking for a joint that’s tight

I’ve tried them all with modern glue

From tenons, Dovetails and Biscuits too.

I’m looking for a Jig that’s fast

To do a job I know will last

To hold the things without a creak

A joint that’s strong with no glue leak

The quality it is surpassed

Of this dowel jig its sure to last

It holds a lifetime guarantee

That’s many years to you and me

The ease in which it joins the wood

The accuracy it is so good

The strength it makes its plain to see

It’s a super jig the Joint Genie.

Mike Bowron  (woodworker) Stockton on Tees
